About this file
This document is an amendment to a federal solicitation for courier services between the Chillicothe VA Medical Center and various VA clinics. Key details include:
-
The solicitation is for courier services to transport supplies and medical equipment between the Chillicothe VA Medical Center and VA clinics in Ohio. The amendment removes references to transporting sterile or soiled medical instruments.
-
Pickups are required daily from 8 clinics located within an hour's drive of Chillicothe, with a pickup window of 3:30-4:30 pm. The amendment indicates pickup times may be adjusted.
-
Supplies transported normally fit in provided bags weighing less than 5 pounds, but occasionally larger totes weighing up to 20 pounds are used.
-
The base period of performance is 7 January 2024 through 6 January 2025, with four one-year option periods.
-
The amendment provides responses to offeror questions, removes one clause, and adds an alternative VAAR clause regarding limitations on subcontracting. Offerors must acknowledge all amendments for their response to be considered.

Response: This will be removed from the PWS. No sterile or soiled instruments are transported.
