About this file
This document contains answers to questions from a pre-proposal conference for a federal contract opportunity to design and construct a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Warsaw, Indiana for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Key details include specifications for a covered drop-off area, bicycle parking, breakroom and outdoor seating for staff, lactation room requirements, and confirmation that the program for design document takes precedence over the block diagram. Design firms do not need to provide design development documents with initial proposals but a test-fit layout is required, and design development meetings will occur after proposal receipt. The opportunity is open to both new construction and adapted existing buildings that are not build-to-suit specifically for the VA. State registration requirements and preferences for new versus existing space are also addressed.
