The solicitation (36C24926Q0231) is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 9 for Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSBC) concerns, with a response deadline of June 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM Central Time. The contract period runs from July 1, 2026 to October 1, 2026. The primary NAICS code is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) with Product Service Code J041 (Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Air Circulating Equipment). The work involves refurbishing eight Air Handling Units (AHU 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 14, 33, 39, and 43), including tasks such as replacing DX coils, chilled water coils, applying specialty coating systems, and other rehabilitation work to restore optimal operating condition and improve energy efficiency. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial services under FAR Part 12. Key answers provided indicate that site visits are mandatory, the project is tax-exempt, and most technical specifications will be determined during the site visit. The contracting office is located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with the primary point of contact being Diane Ziegler at diane.ziegler@va.gov or 615-225-6479.
