About this file

This document contains answers to questions from contractors regarding a federal solicitation for replacing roofs in Phase 3 of construction at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The solicitation calls for replacing roofs on several buildings and removing approximately 40 pallets of leftover roofing insulation from Phase 1. Contractors will need to verify scope items like equipment supports needing replacement and fall protection materials to remove from Roof 8B. Nothing requires more than one site superintendent, but the site safety and health officer must be a separate qualified individual from the prime contractor's superintendent or quality control manager.
