The boiler will serve as the primary heating source for the HVAC re-heating system to replace the current unit that is beyond economical repair. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, hardware, accessories, and supervision for purchase, delivery, installation, and factory startup, with the latter consisting of one post-delivery meeting with a qualified representative to explain utility connections and one post-connection visit by a factory-certified representative to commission the system. Power, gas, water, vent, and supply air connections will be provided by others.
The boiler must meet specific technical specifications including dimensions not exceeding 36 inches long by 30 inches wide by 48 inches high, a 500,000 BTU rating with 10-to-1 turndown capability (50,000 BTU minimum), natural gas operation, 120V single-phase power, 97% minimum thermal efficiency, and 1034 kPa design pressure. Required components include a BACnet/MSTP building automation system card, condensate neutralization kit, boiler pump with 2-inch flange connection, magnetic filter assembly, CO/gas detector with automatic gas shutoff and audible alarm, two emergency power-off switches (one at boiler and one at room entry), and a replaceable combustion air filter. All accessories must be from the boiler manufacturer or approved in writing by the manufacturer. Delivery must occur within 90 days of purchase order processing during standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 0800-1630), with final factory startup within 90 days of placement.
