About this file
This document is a Statement of Work for a construction project to build a reinforced concrete pad for an oxygen tank system at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, Florida (Project #673-14-858). The project involves removing the existing 6-inch reinforced concrete pad and chain-link fence from the oxygen and nitrous oxide gas storage area, then constructing a new 12-inch reinforced concrete pad with a 7-foot-0-inch chain-link fence topped with 1-foot barbwire. The contractor must temporarily relocate the nitrous oxide manifold cylinders off the existing pad during demolition and later secure the existing nitrous oxide manifold to the new pad.
The work scope includes coordination with the VA for removal of the existing oxygen system and temporary oxygen supply provisions prior to demolition. The contractor is responsible for verifying all existing conditions and dimensions, with any deviations from contract documents requiring immediate written notification to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The new concrete pad will measure 36 feet by 30 feet with an 8-foot extension, incorporating #6 rebar at 18-inch spacing both longitudinally and transversely, positioned over 4 inches of crushed stone and a compacted subgrade. The project documentation includes detailed site plans, existing and new site conditions drawings, dimensions, cross-sectional details, and specifications for materials and construction standards that the contractor must follow in accordance with all applicable codes and industry standards.
