About this file

This is an Award Notice for a grapple truck procurement issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) located in Bay Pines, Florida. The contract was awarded to VANCORIS FEDERAL SERVICES, LLC on March 16, 2026, with a total award amount of $212,489.00 under contract number 36C24826P0535. The solicitation number was 36C24826Q0329, and the procurement was set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBC).

The scope of work requires procurement of a Petersen 2025/2026 International MV607 grapple truck with Transmission A2000, diesel fuel type, airbrake system, and non-CDL classification, specified as "Name Brand or Equal." The C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center Environmental Management Service (EMS) Grounds requested this equipment to efficiently remove downed trees and limbs following hurricanes and severe weather events, improving road and parking lot clearing operations and supporting regular maintenance tasks such as clearing conservancy paths. The acquisition was driven by delays experienced during 2024 hurricane cleanup efforts at Bay Pines Medical Center and Lee County Healthcare campuses, where EMS Grounds lacked the capacity to remove large fallen trees and significant debris quantities, necessitating costly emergency purchase orders to external vendors. The awardee, VANCORIS FEDERAL SERVICES, LLC, is located in Naples, Florida, with UEI E3E5AM6EE4Q3.

DESCRIPTION

Scope of Work: C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center – Environmental Management Service (EMS) Grounds is requesting to purchase a Petersen 2025/2026 International MV607, Transmission A2000, Fuel Type Diesel, Brake Type Airbrake Name Brand or Equal non CDL.

Background: The C.W VA Medical Center EMS Grounds requests to purchase a grapple truck to help pick up downed trees and limbs after hurricanes and severe weather events. This will help with proficiency and timeliness in clearing roads and parking lots. This truck can also be used when trimming trees. The grapple truck will pick up debris much more efficiently and effectively than by hand. This truck is also needed for regular tasks such as clearing paths in the conservancy. In 2024, EMS Grounds assisted with the cleanup of the Bay Pines Medical Center and Lee County Healthcare campuses after the two major hurricanes in 2024. Cleanup efforts were delayed because EMS Grounds did not have the means to remove very large fallen trees and hefty quantities of debris. EMS had to procure emergency purchase orders to have vendors come and provide the services that our own staff would have been able to accomplish with a grapple truck.
