About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for pest control services issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) for nine Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in the Bay Pines area. The solicitation is for a base year plus four option years of fixed-price pest control services, with a focus on implementing an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan. The contract requires comprehensive pest control management, including handling various pests such as rodents, insects, and potentially vertebrate pests, with monthly scheduled services and emergency response capabilities within 4 hours.

The RFQ outlines a competitive award process based on four evaluation factors: price, technical approach, past performance, and the government's right to award without discussions. Specific requirements include providing all necessary licenses, tools, equipment, and labor to ensure health and safety of medical facility personnel and patients. The solicitation covers pest control within 2-10 feet of facility perimeters, with historical data showing approximately 10 bed bug service requests over two years and several emergency service requests for ants and wasps. Quotes are due by October 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, with the government intending to make a single award to the most advantageous offeror.
