Building 38:

Q: Is there redundancy for this chiller? Will there be a need for temp cooling if no current backup? There is redundancy no need for temp cooling.

Q: Is groove pipe/ Victolic acceptable? Is polypropylene pipe acceptable? No Victaulic aside from connection to chiller if chiller comes grooved. All other pipes shall be welded steel. No polypropylene piping.

Q: Is siemens controls purchased directly from VA or subcontracted through HVAC Vendor? BAS is Siemens. Chillers shall be tied into BAS with graphics created. Graphics shall include start, stop, and monitor through bacnet.

Building 64:

Q: Are pumps to be motor only, or pump being replaced as well? Do you want to include new sled for pumps? Can the size of inlet and outlet of pumps be confirmed along with volute size? Entire pump skids to be replaced quantity (3) three. Skid shall include pump, motor, starter, isolation valves, strainer, triple duty valve, isolators, pressure gauges on suction and discharge. Sizing should have been confirmed during site visit.

Q: Is this project strictly for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business? Yes

General Questions:

Q: What are hours for shutdowns? Regular working hours 8:00-16:30

Q: Any need for temp services/utilities? No

Q: What are the tie-in point for inlet/outlet of 3 pumps rooftop MER? Existing branch piping. New flanges may be required to be welded based on fitting / pump replacement takeout.

Q: Are existing electrical disconnects required to be replaced? Yes. Per SOW disconnects on chillers shall be outdoor Nema rated.

Q: Is a bid bond and/or performance bond required? No, the CO does not require it.

Q: Is there a performance period associated with this solicitation? The Requirement needs to be completed ASAP, offeror’s shall provide their best performance.

Q: Is the facility BMS Bacnet capable, open protocol? Yes.

Q: Are VFD’s required for the pumps? No. Starters shall be replaced with pumps per SOW.

Q: Will the Government be providing a 1442 for Bidder to complete and return with proposal (to provide unique entity info i.e. CAGE code, etc.)? No, CO will ensure all offerors are SAM and SDVOSB Certified.

Q: Will Contractor Team be required to provide temporary air while the replacement effort is underway? No. There is redundancy.

Q: Are As-Built Drawings available for existing building Structural ? Salient Characteristics of new chiller is lesser in weight? Will attempt to find as builts.
