About this file
This document contains a request for information tracking log and related federal contract opportunity solicitation. The tracking log provides responses to questions from potential offerors regarding a design-build project for site preparation work associated with replacing a magnetic resonance imaging scanner at the Department of Veterans Affairs Viera Outpatient Clinic in Florida. The estimated value of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation seeks proposals for all design and construction services needed to complete the project within a 210-day period of performance. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management and certified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to be considered for the sole-source set-aside award. Environmental compliance and stewardship are also requirements. Proposals are due based on a two-phase design-build selection process outlined in the solicitation and Federal Acquisition Regulation.

Is the existing electrical and HVAC anticipated to be adequate for the new MRI (similar size) or is it anticipated that the new MRI will likely require more power and AC? This will be confirmed during design, but an estimated answer will help define MEP scope of work in the level of modification potentially required to the existing systems.
