VENDOR QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (Q&As) Services: Warrior to Soul-Mate Retreat (Lee County) The following questions were asked of the Government relating to the subject requirement which are hereby posted and responded to.

Q&As:

(1) Question: “6,000 sq ft conference room sounds extravagant. For instance, this is the feedback I got from one provider “Ft. Meyers location is 55’ x 38’ equaling 2,090 sq. ft. It can accommodate 120 in round banquet tables. Is 80 x 75 feet the correct size, (use of approximate is limiting) or is there a size range you’re looking for?”

Answer: Per Subsection B.3 Performance Work Statement, Section V (A) (d), “The facility shall be able to provide a pleasant and calming atmosphere conducive to the nature of the retreat. Intense grieving exercises are conducted where very private personnel information is communicated verbally between the couples. The facility shall provide a large, clean, and relaxing conference room of approximately 2,000 sq. ft. or more …”

(2) Question: “Hotels equipped with a 6,000 sq ft conference room would be a full service hotel, and these popular properties are booked well in advance of 6 months. Quoting from the solicitation, “target dates are 4/5/19 and/or 4/12/19”. Are the dates of the first conference etched in stone? What’s most important; the features of the hotel, or the dates for the retreat? Would it be better to ask for first available weekend no earlier than, and no later than?”

Answer: Per Subsection B.3 (II) of the Performance Work Statement “The preferred dates for the first W2SM event are: 4/5/2019 through 4/7/2019 and 4/12/2019 through 4/14/2019, however, alternate dates shall be taken into consideration.”

(3) Question: “Your synopsis has a one liner that says “SDVOSB/VOSB 100% SB set aside”. Is it 100% SB set aside, or is it SDVOSB/VOSB set aside?”

Answer: Per Subsection A.1, Set-aside is 100% SB set-aside.

(4) Question: Meals for 34 people for two day, understand. So, there is no requirement to provide meals for 6 facilitators?

Answer: Per Subsection B.2, PRICE/COSY SCHEDULE, only meals for veterans and their spouses shall be provided: no meals for facilitators shall be provided.

(5) Question: Quoting the solicitation “The facility shall be located at least 5 miles away in straight line or “as the crow flies” from any airport”; 5 miles “as the crow flies” gets a person half way through Ft Myers, in the direction of Cape Coral, from RSW airport. So, Cape Coral doesn’t even enter into the picture. Do you want to expand the range?

Answer: Per Section V, Place of Performance, “The facility for this requirement shall be a resort, hotel, boutique hotel and/or spa, or inn, and shall be located within 10 miles radius from Cape Coral or Fort Myers, Florida.” The requirement concerning the proximity to airports has been rescinded.

(6) Question: Has this been done before in this area? If so, who was the prime contractor & how much was the contract for?

Answer: No, this is a new requirement and has not been performed before in this area.
