About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document containing 11 questions and responses related to a medical waste removal services contract for the Columbia VA Health Care System. The Q&A clarifies details about waste separation requirements (trace chemo must be incinerated while sharps/RMW can be autoclaved), container labeling (yellow boxes for trace chemo, white barrels for autoclavable waste), and service locations. The document confirms that only the Dorn VA campus requires chemotherapy waste pickup, and provides correct addresses for Anderson CBOC (3030 North Highway 81), Greenville CBOC (41 Park Creek Dr), and Sumter CBOC (245 Bultman Dr).

The document specifies that Dorn VA has weekly waste pickup while CBOC locations have bi-weekly service. A site visit is scheduled for February 13, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM EST at CAVHCS EMS Building 100. The Q&A references additional attachments for wage determinations and RMW waste tracker information, and confirms that weights are separated by location on manifests and invoices. The contractor is responsible for providing appropriate waste container labels and separating waste weights by location.
