About this file

This document is an amendment to Solicitation 36C24724Q0929 for the Replacement of 15 Steam Safety Valves in the Boiler Room at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC. The amendment extends the response deadline from August 12, 2024 to August 19, 2024 and provides details on a site visit scheduled for August 14, 2024. It also answers several questions related to the requirement, including the need to field verify the existing valves, the boiler steam pressure and valve specifications, and whether asbestos abatement may be required. The amendment confirms that a tax-exempt certificate will be provided to the awarded contractor, and clarifies that the 45-day period of performance includes the lead time for the valve replacement. The related federal contract opportunity is for the full replacement project of 15 steam safety valves in the boiler room.
