Vendor Questions/Concerns for:

Generator Load Testing / 36C24724Q0279 / Columbia, SC VA Medical Center

No information will be provided about the past or current contract.

1. Page 6 to 8, Must meet Caterpillar warranty compliance. For those CAT units we will only service/replace with Caterpillar brands. However, we would like to request the Caterpillar warranty document you already have for those Cat units.

For us to maintain Caterpillar compliance warranty all fluids and filters must be replace with Caterpillar brands. The VA would be responsible for on hand Caterpillar warranty documents if required.

2. Page 9 & 10, for those units that require Load Banking Testing (9 units total) please confirm these units require annual 4-hour load banking test instead of tri-annual load banking test requirements (2 hours LBT every year and 4 hours LBT every 3 years).

There are 9 units total. 2 hours LBT every year and 4 hours LBT every

3 years (triannual).

3. Page 6, Building 100 Generator #1 & 2, please confirm contractor must perform quarterly oil samples.

Annual oil samples only.

4. Page 7, Building 9/9A Model 3306B, S/N # 9NR04801. Pease confirm contractor must perform quarterly oil samples and if this unit requires annual

LBT.

Annual oil samples only. Unit does require annual LBT.

5. Page 9, Transfer Switches. Visual inspect transfer switched, perform transfer test on transfer switch with customer approval only, and record, adjust times as needed. We will include this request in our estimate to be done during the semi-annual and annual PM.

The VA concurs with this statement.
