Due to the high volume of traffic in the hospitals main parking lots, it is difficult at times for patients to locate an open parking spot to get to their appointments in a reasonable amount of time. Due to the nature of the patients at the hospital it is also common for patients to “Dwell” at the hospital for long periods of time creating a shortage of parking spots at the hospital. This has caused a need for guidance of patients entering the parking lot to an open parking spot to decrease the number of vehicles circling the parking lot to decrease hazards. A timer is wanted to track the amount of time a spot has been occupied by the same vehicle taking valuable parking spots.

3. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

- Period of performance for delivery and installation shall not exceed 8 months.

- Period of performance for Connection and Warranty:

Base Year: 01/01/2023 – 12/31/2023 Option Year 1: 01/01/2024 – 12/31/2024 Option Year 2: 01/01/2025 – 12/31/2025 Option Year 3: 01/01/2026 – 12/31/2026 Option Year 4: 01/01/2027 – 12/31/2027

Each sensor has an internal battery that can last up from 7-10 years. Each sensor will speak to a base station that will be powered by Power Over Ethernet (POE). Table 2 lists the base station properties. The base station will be able to determine when a vehicle has arrived, when the vehicle has left and how long the vehicle has stayed in the parking spot.
