Amendment No. 02

The purpose of this Amendment is to provide Answers against the Questions raised following the Site Visit held on Wednesday, July 17th 2019 at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, Chiller and Boiler Plants.

Question: What is the system volume of the chilled water closed loop?

Answer: 12-15K

Question: What is the approximate volume of the cooling tower (condenser) system?

Answer: 12,000 Gallons, with one tower scheduled to be replaced with a larger one at some point in the future (not certain what size replacement tower will be at this time).

Question: My understanding is that the chemical pumps and chemical tanks are not owned by the Veterans Administration (VA). It is clear in the solicitation that the tanks are to be provided. However, do you expect that we need to include pumps in the quote as well? Also, the controllers were said to belong to the VA, I want to clarify that the controllers are going to stay on site.

Answer: Yes, pumps have to be provided; controllers belong to VA. PUMPS DO NOT.

NOTE from Government Program Office: NO CHLORINE IS TO BE USED IN THE COOLING TOWERS. BROMINE CAN BE USED.
