About this file
This is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 6's intent to sole-source a contract to Stripes Global, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), for OsmoPro Max and Glocyte consumables. The contract supports laboratory operations at the VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina and is conducted under 38 U.S.C. 8127(c) and VAAR 819.7008(a)(1), with a maximum contract value of $5 million. The requirement specifies quarterly delivery of consumables compatible with existing laboratory equipment to maintain continuity of patient care and support ongoing laboratory testing. The Product Service Code is 6640 (Laboratory Equipment and Supplies) and the NAICS Code is 334516, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.
Stripes Global has been identified as the sole authorized manufacturer distributor for the required OsmoPro Max and Glocyte consumables, and the equipment-specific nature of the requirement combined with the availability of only one authorized distributor justifies the sole-source award under the VA Veterans First Contracting Program. Interested sources must submit responses electronically to Contract Specialist Krisanne Dernago (Krisanne.Dernago@va.gov) by October 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Responses should include company information, UEI, business size certification, SDVOSB status verification, detailed capability statements, technical information, manufacturer distributor authorization letters, and available pricing. Award is contingent upon verification of contractor eligibility, completion of required approvals, and determination that pricing is fair, reasonable, and provides best value to the Government. The VA will review timely responses before proceeding with the sole-source award decision.
