B.3 SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

Permobil F5 VS & M Corpus VS

(A) Functions to be performed;

The Permobil F5 Corpus VS V2 & the Permobil M Corpus VS are standing power wheelchair that allows for a driving option in the standing position. This will allow patients to mobilize around their environments while also fully off-loading their seated area where the majority of chronic wounds occur. A standing power wheelchair allows therapists to apply any seating component desired to optimize posture, stability, and skin protection.

(B) Performance required;

The Permobil F5 VS V2 has full programmability to customize standing sequences, allowing therapists to optimize the progression to/from sitting and standing for the individual patient, including the below unique options:

· Articulating leg rests to optimize fit and standing posture

· Full drive-ability in the standing position, allowing dynamic mobility, reach, and access in the standing position

· Ability to come in and out of stand sequence at will, even during the progression to/from sitting and standing.

· full upright standing position to 90 degrees, optimizing posture, functional reach, etc.

· Only current standing power wheelchair on a front-wheeled base, optimizing drivability outdoors and through narrow hallways.

· Fully customizable electronics and seating system so that the chair can grow/change with the patient over time for the patient’s evolving needs (avoiding the need to purchase a different chair in the future, and allowing us to fit the chair to multiple patient presentations) The M Corpus VS is a power standing wheelchair with a mid-wheel drive base.
