About this file
This document is an Amendment (0003) to Solicitation 36C24625Q0657 for a Wheelchair Transport contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration in Durham, North Carolina. The amendment addresses 12 technical questions about the solicitation, providing clarifications on key contract details. Significant points include: the contract will be awarded to a single company, involves wheelchair transport services only (no stretcher or medical transport), will be scheduled through VetRide, and covers multiple site locations with 10-15% of trips occurring outside normal business hours.
The solicitation covers wheelchair van services with specific pricing parameters, including rates for trips within and beyond 20 miles of Durham VAMC. Subcontracting partners do not need to be Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), and multi-loading of patients is permitted if safe. The contract has an incumbent provider with modifications from the previous contract. The solicitation responses are closed effective 6-26-25, and the contract appears to be for Fiscal Year 2025, focusing on transportation services for veterans in the Durham, NC area.
