About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response regarding a solicitation for flooring replacement in two Behavioral Health Dayrooms at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. The key details are:

The contractor will be responsible for removing and installing new resilient sheet flooring with welded seams in Dayrooms 518 and 560 on the 5th floor of Building 1. The VA will remove and reinstall any bolted furniture/fixtures prior to and after the flooring work. Work can only be done in one room at a time, and the contractor must plan to bring in all materials and remove debris without onsite storage or dumpsters. The VA will provide temporary badges for contractor access. The flooring is expected to be a single, homogenous color/pattern approved by the VA, extending up the wall at least 4 inches without a separate cove base. There are no known asbestos issues, and the existing flooring was installed around 2015. A site visit is scheduled for March 20, 2024 at 10am EST at the Building 1 lobby.
