About this file

This document contains questions submitted in response to a solicitation by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 6. The solicitation seeks a general contractor to renovate and modernize the imaging suite at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The project scope involves demolishing existing spaces within the imaging suite such as an old file area and reworking some interior spaces. It will rebuild the area to provide three additional ultrasound exam rooms, three new restrooms, converting one exam room into a new HAC office, and removing and relocating all imaging equipment from construction impact areas. The document clarifies questions around flooring requirements, changes to the existing HVAC system, the identity of the contractor maintaining the existing DDC system, occupant relocation plans during construction, the potential for project extensions due to product availability, requirements for after-hours shutdowns and wage rates, and the designated laydown and dumpster areas.
