1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The tank AST 1 diesel fuel storage tank was found to meet or exceed the minimum code requirements of STI SP-001 and the West Virginia code and regulations. This tank is built to API 650 code standards.
The tank has some minor issues with coating failure that should be managed at customer discretion.
The tank foundation and containment have areas with cracking and spalling which needs to be properly sealed to ensure no product can escape the containment in the event of a release.
The tank bottom-to-foundation seal has failed in areas and should be repaired to ensure protection against water seepage beneath the bottom of the tank floor and to help protect against tank floor bottom side corrosion.
Thickness measurements were taken and locations identified in this report.
The UT examination shows no significant wall loss deeming the tank structurally sound.
Tank AST 1 diesel fuel storage tank is found to be fit for continued service.
Please refer to the results and recommendation sections of this report for other minor discrepancies and recommendations that were identified during the course of this inspection.
