CONTINUATION PAGE
Questions:
1. What is the name of the current contractor?
American Pest
2. What is your anticipated award date for this contract?
2/22/2020
3. What would be the anticipated start date?
Estimated 2/25/20.
4. Have funds been appropriated for this opportunity?
Yes.
5. What is the current total annual contract price for this contract?
$406,551.40
6. If this is a current contract what is the current awarded contract number?
VA245-17-C-0012
1. Can the government provide the linear footage for buildings Chapel #203, COPD #217, Baker House and Building 501 for the Termite Colony Elimination system?
Baker house - 2761 square feet COPD #217 - 25,803 square feet Chapel building – 3663 square feet
1. What was the previous awarded contract Number, dated awarded and awarded value?
Inappropriate question please reference Contracting Officer.
2. How many Bed Bug services requests has there been over the past 12 months?
At a minimum there is a request at least once a month. Periodically there are times we may have 3 to 5 in a month, and we may go for 3 months with no bed bug issues.
3. How many after-hours service requests has then been in the past 12 months?
I would base it the same as Bed Bugs with once a month. We try to minimize calling after hours to emergencies (Bed bugs, rodents in the hospital, etc.). There are times you may not be called out for months and then there are times you may be called out or back in the same day. The average though would probably be once a month and we try to address most issues while you are on your scheduled days.
5. Who is the current pest vendor?
Triple S, but now they are American Pest
7. Has any of the scope of service changed from this Solicitation compared to that of the last awarded contract? Review current statement of work in solicitation 36C24520Q0201.
8. How many hours during the past 12 months has the current provider spent on site servicing each month? The vendor spends three days a week on station (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). They are scheduled 8 hours a day. We worked with the vendor on Wednesdays because of prior obligations with another contract so they came out in the evening but still maintained the 8 hours.
9. Will there be a site visit scheduled?
Amendment was posted for the site visit.
10. Did the government consider this opportunity as a SDVOSB set-aside? Yes, the government did consider this opportunity as a SDVOSB set aside, however the market showed a lack of competition within the SDVOSB
The specifications call for fly control. Do you now many electrical fly light units you have at the center.
There are roughly 20 fly lights throughout the facility (this is not exact). Sometimes we request for additional fly lights if needed or they are removed if the vendor does not see the need and we communicate the issue.
Do know how many special requests (offices, patient rooms, etc.) are called in to be addressed on a monthly basis.
Due to the schedule (3 times a week) we may have days where there are 10 to 15 things to be addressed in a day and there are times when we may not have any. If we have items brought to our attention (not emergency) we will hold for the next scheduled visit with pest management.
