About this file
This document is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract (Standard Form 30) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4 Services 2 in Pittsburgh, PA. The amendment extends the response due date for solicitation 36C24426Q0319 from April 22, 2026 to April 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT. The document is accompanied by a Questions and Answers section addressing 33 inquiries from prospective offerors regarding geese management services at the Wilmington VA Medical Center.
The underlying requirement is for integrated pest management and geese mitigation services across 32 acres at Wilmington VAMC under a 5-year contract. Key contract details include: the previous award was Contract 36C24420P0910 (Solicitation 36C24420Q0792) dated September 23, 2020, valued at $45,000.00, held by incumbent contractor Geese Management BRS, LLC; no changes to the Statement of Work from the previous contract; this is a 100% small business set-aside with no SDVOSB preference at this time; no emergency/unscheduled service requests occurred in the past 12 months. Service requirements mandate daily coverage including weekends and federal holidays, with the current contractor typically present approximately 2 hours daily and responding throughout the day as needed. The contractor must carry required pesticide General Liability insurance including pollution coverage per National Pest Management Association standards. Alternative humane deterrent methods beyond trained dogs (such as laser hazing) are acceptable. The incumbent contractor uses a combination of trained dogs and laser hazing. No historical data on goose nests or eggs treated is available on file.
