About this file

The document is a Salient Characteristics file for a Point of Care Ultrasound System, referencing the FujiFilm Sonosite PX as a brand name item. The solicitation requires an ultrasound-imaging equipment with specific technical specifications across three primary areas: 1) Imaging Capabilities, 2) Size and Design Requirements, and 3) Cybersecurity.

Key technical requirements include high-contrast imaging with advanced presets, support for multiple imaging modes (B Mode, M Mode, Color Doppler, etc.), compatibility with linear/phased/curved array transducers, and multiple measurement packages (Abdomen, Cardiac, OB/Gyn, Vascular). The system must be portable, with stand dimensions not exceeding 23"x26" and a total height of 65 inches, and include a cable management system. Cybersecurity requirements mandate built-in data encryption, secured patient data transmission/storage, and compliance with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) for moderate security control selections. The opportunity is issued by the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, with quotes due by 4:30 PM EST on 4/25/2025, to be submitted via email to joanne.skaff@va.gov.
