About this file
This is a Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announcing an intent to sole-source a contract with Cummins Inc. for Generator Load Bank Testing and Maintenance. The five-year contract, valued under the NAICS 811310 code (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance), will cover generator services at three VA Medical Centers: Erie, Coatesville, and Altoona, with a performance period from 9/25/2025 to 09/24/2030.
The VA is seeking written responses from interested parties by September 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST to potentially reconsider the sole-source approach. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and can submit capability documentation to Contract Specialist Lakeisiha Davenport. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price with five-year options, and while this is not a competitive solicitation, the VA will consider all responses in determining whether to issue a broader solicitation.
