Keith. J. Costantino

Branch Chief

I. The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to answer vendor questions for solicitation 36C24423Q0262.

II. Contractors submitted 7 questions. The Government has included those questions verbatim and provided answers below:

Question 1: Will this source be open to the idea of dedicated service the staff/facility will solely be dedicated to this project only?

Answer 1: The number of days/hours required would probably not align with having staff that would be dedicated to servicing the VA only and no other customers. Most often the customer is scheduling one to three days per week. This will fluctuate by the week and month based on the number of installs/projects/moves/emergencies, etc., that are occurring within a given month. On average there is one emergency call per quarter.

Right now, the customer is typically scheduling the following month, a couple of weeks in advance of the start of the upcoming month. Sometimes there are changes to the schedule mid-month.

Question 2: What will be the weekly forecast of inbound and outbound deliveries, and assembling furniture?

Answer 2: It is difficult to forecast deliveries and installations. There could be a month with three to four deliveries, or a month with no deliveries. Outbound requests/needs for a truck delivery to one of our sites, on average, would be three to four times per month.

Most scheduled days (see Answer 1 above) will include some degree of furniture assembly.

Question 3: Is it okay to use a separate vendor for the move?

Answer 3: A subcontractor can be used for the initial move. Please provide details in quote response.

Question 4: Does the prime have to be bonded?

Answer 4: No.

Question 5: Line item 0001 the moving of the inventory from the existing warehouse who will be responsible for the packaging of the inventory?

Answer 5: The contractor is responsible for packing anything required to be packed prior to the move.

Question 6: What is the difference between union and non-union delivery/pick up (Line item 006 & 007)?

Answer 6: Union deliveries/labor are sometimes needed for off-site locations. Most often deliveries are small enough to these locations that it is not necessary, however, it is a possibility. The primary location is non-union. Please refer to Section 8 of the

Statement of Work for additional information.

Question 7: Is the unit of measure TRP the abbreviation for trip (Line item 0010 &

0011)?

Answer 7: Yes

III. The Government has answered all timely vendor questions, and the question period has closed. The Government will not accept further questions relating to this solicitation.

The solicitation response time remains 1:00PM, ET, Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
