1. Section A, part 2 states “All quotes shall include one (1) separate electronic copy of each of the Section listed below” and says “Attachments (5 total)”. However, there are only four (4) sections listed - a) Section I, b) Section II, c) Section III, and d) Section IV. Is there another section that I am missing?
Section I, Section II, Section III, and Section IV are the sections required to be submitted.
2. The combine synopsis/ solicitation came out Oct 24th and has a due date of Nov 7th ( 2 weeks) and a deadline of questions of Oct 28th. What we didn’t notice was an official scheduled site visit. Why no site visit for a project this size?

3. With no scheduled site visit in place how can the last day for questions to be answered be 4 days after the solicitation was posted at 10:12 am ?
See amendment 0001.

Not required to be disclosed.
5. Has the funds been secured to fund this project?

This information is found in the solicitation documents.
7. Section 1.1 (1.2?) for the SOW Scope states that the degraded duct insulation is to be replaced.
Section 4.7 states that "insulation on all exterior duct work outside building that is connected to RTU3 is to be maintained in its current condition". Please clarify the Insulation scope or work regarding the outside ductwork. If new insulation is to be installed, provide new insulation specifications.
Replace any insulation that is disturbed during the installation of new components. Use same type on insulation on existing unit.
8. Regarding Air Balancing Section 4.9.4 and 4.9.5, does the VA have a current air balancing report for RTU3 and the areas that it serves? Is the current airflow sufficient for the areas served? Will the supply air fan or the return air fan require work to obtain required airflows? Will the contractor be responsible for any repairs to these fans?
Reports not available at this time. The only concern was the Steam coil was leaking no complaints of any air flow.
9. Regarding Chilled Water Balancing Section 4.9.6, does the VA have a current balancing report to verify chilled water supply is sufficient. If the chilled water supply is found to be inadequate, what would be the Contractors responsibility to increase flow?
Reports not available at this time. The only concern was the Steam coil was leaking no complaints of any flow.
10. Section 1.1 (1.2?) for the SOW Scope states that the dampers are t0 be replaced. Can existing dampers be rebuilt as an alternative?
Replacement.
11. Section 4.8 references a start-up check list. This checklist appears to be more applicable to a new installation that to repairs that are to be made on this project. Is the contractor responsible to provide and install new filters? Is there an existing VFD? Can all existing access panels currently close and be properly secured?
If filters are in good condition, then no filters would not need to be replaced. Unknown if there is a VFD, Unknown if about existing access panels.
12. Will the contractor be able to shut down RTU 3 to replace the coils and install the new dampers during daytime working hours on a Saturday? This may require multiple Saturdays to complete the work. No access in the Eye Clinic will be required, only roof access to the RTU itself.
Reference 5.0 of SOW Shutdowns of building systems will be during off hours, M-F after 6pm or possibly on the weekend during normal daytime hours, depending upon hospital operations.
