1. there is no transition timeframe set up in the solicitation most recommend 90 days transition. 90 days transition was agreed upon by all stations.

1. CLINS listed will stand as shown on Cost Price Schedule. No travel time CLIN will be added for repairs.

1. Contractors may bid one site, all sites, or specific multiple sites, by year, or all five years at one price. Please just make sure that the sites your company is quoting is clearly stated. Contractors may add pricing for additional services. However, vendors must at least quote all 8 CLINS for the site(s) they are interested in servicing.

1. The government is not interested in individual product/catalog pricing as this contract is for services and installation as related to government provided equipment. (with the exceptions listed in the SOW)

1. The solicitation talks about emergencies and emergency repairs please define a DME emergency. This should be only if the delay in repair could be a safety issue.

1. The solicitation asked for a DME checklist on every delivery if the patients on the program currently does this need done on every delivery. Every delivery requires a checklist.

1. The solicitation states that the emergency procedures for using the hand crank on a hospital bed be laminated and affixed to the bed will the VA be supplying these laminated cards? Laminated cards will not be required. The owner’s manual will be sufficient, or vendor can trouble shoot over the phone when an emergency is called in.

1. Is it possible to combine sites for Pittsburgh and Butler out of one location to do both VA’s? Yes. That is how we currently operate. If the vendor uses one site for both facilities, the equipment for Pittsburgh and Butler must be kept separate from each other.

1. Under the quality control and patient surveys it states a self-addressed envelope along with the customer satisfaction survey will be left with each delivery address to the COR will the VA be providing these letters and envelopes as well as the postage? And will the VA provide us copies of each survey for our joint commission report, or can we just do the surveys by phone as we have in the past? A phone survey is sufficient.

1. Under emergencies and backup system it asked for a six month equipment check to be completed by phone what are we checking or should this be removed? And what line item do we bill this under? Please disregard this requirement for a 6 month equipment check.

1. In the solicitation it states warehouses will be approved prior to award if we currently don’t have a warehouse in that area will that affect the solicitation or bid, we will secure the warehouse space once the bid has been awarded. If warehouse is acquired after award it must be approved/inspected prior to use for storage of VA equipment.

1. Will the VA be ordering all repair parts or the vendor? VA will order the parts and ship to the vendor for install/repair unless an emergency repair is completed.
