Vendor Question
Government Response
1
Paragraph 4.0 of the SOW provides that Contractor shall install injection ports, valve and other appurtenances as necessary to allow for attachment of chemical injection pumps.

Do these injection ports already exist from previous job, or do they need to be installed?

There are places that the injection has been completed in the past with valves already installed. The setups vary with each area. Any fittings or attachments required to adapt to these points would be the responsibility of the contractor. Any new points needed to accommodate contractor would be contractor’s responsibility.

2
Paragraph 4.0 of the SOW provides that dates/time shall include night and weekends as required by VA staff and that it is anticipated that work will occur over three separate weekends within 2-month timeframe.

Are weekends required?

Yes. Weekends are required to minimize disruption in services. This has been done previously on Friday and Saturday evenings to minimize impact on patient care.

3
Paragraph 4.0 of the SOW provides that samples will be tested for Total Coliform, Legionella, Bac-T, TSS, TDS and inorganics.

Can you clarify the difference between Total Coliform and Bac T?

The Bac T is referring to Total coliform, Fecal Coliform and E. coli test

4
Is a new requirement, or if there is a current or previous contractor who has performed similar services? If available, can you please send along the incumbent contract or task order number?

This is not a new requirement.
