About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award a sole source contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 intends to award a sole source contract to Globus Medical, Inc., located in Audubon, Pennsylvania, for annual preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs of proprietary Global Surgical Equipment at two VA New York Harbor Healthcare System campuses: Manhattan Campus (423 E 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010) and Brooklyn Campus (800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209). The contract period runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with four optional years available. The equipment includes the ExcelsiusGPSA robotic system and ExcelsiusE3D system. The proprietary nature of this equipment and Globus Medical's exclusive authorized Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business partnership with SDV Office Systems, LLC justifies the sole source procurement approach.

The solicitation is classified under NAICS Code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a small business size standard of $34 million, and uses classification code J065 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies). While this is a notice of intent to award, interested firms may submit written objections or evidence of capability to perform the requirements by the response deadline of October 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. EST. Responses must be submitted via email to Kaitlyn.Morgan2@va.gov. The government reserves the right not to compete the procurement based on responses received, and will proceed with the award to Globus Medical if no responses are submitted.
