About this file

This is a Special Notice for a sole source contract award to American Standard Group LLC for dead leg removal services at a Department of Veterans Affairs facility. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 2), located under Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 2, intends to award the contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253-c-1 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements). The work involves removal of dead legs from the Station Sterile Processing System (SPS), with a period of performance of 60 calendar days from notice to proceed. The Government justifies the sole source award based on urgency, required precision, contamination risks associated with improper handling, continuity needs in technique and safety standards, and the unacceptable risks that onboarding a new contractor would introduce, including potential system compromise, extended downtime, and disruption to SPS operations.

Interested parties may submit capabilities statements by October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EST to express interest and provide clear evidence of their capability to perform the required services. Verbal responses are not acceptable. If no viable alternative responses are received by the stated deadline, the Department of Veterans Affairs will negotiate solely with American Standard Group LLC. The capabilities statement submission is not a request for quotations, and the Government reserves the sole discretion to determine whether to compete the requirement or proceed with American Standard Group LLC.
