About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for non-emergency ambulance transportation services issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The solicitation (36C24226Q0017) seeks a vendor to provide non-emergency Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance transportation, with an estimated monthly volume of 2-3 ALS and 58-60 BLS one-way trips. Services are required 24/7, including federal holidays, with interfacility transfers permitted but standby/event coverage excluded.

Key details include a September 24, 2025, response deadline, potential for subcontractor use during surge capacity, and a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside status. The VA will use VetRide for invoicing, and the pricing structure is outlined in the solicitation's Price/Cost Schedule, with no additional payments for hours, standby, or after-hours services. An incumbent provider is currently in place, and vendors are expected to provide details about their fleet during the evaluation process.
