1. Scope of Work & Specifications

• What materials are required for the new windows (type of glass, frame materials, insulation requirements)? it is the contractor responsibility to use the correct material that meets the VA requirements.

• Are there any structural reinforcements required after window removal? it is the contractor responsibility to use their judgment.

• What material is the roof on top of the window made of? Is it a concrete flat roof? It is a Flat roof that’s more than 30 years old.

• Since roof repairs must be required to fix the windows, will that scope be included in this contract? No

2. Structural Integrity & Impact on Window Installation

• Has the corroded steel framing and deteriorated brick facade been assessed for stability? yes, it is in a bad condition

• Will structural repairs or reinforcements be required before installing new windows? it is the contractor responsibility to use their judgment.

• Are there any settling or shifting issues that could affect window alignment? The windows need to be removed.

• If unexpected structural deficiencies are found, how will change orders be handled? No change orders for this Job

3. Water Damage & Moisture Intrusion

• What additional flashing, sealants, or drainage systems are required? it is the contractor responsibility to use their judgment.

• Is there a risk of mold or hidden water damage behind the frames that needs mitigation? Yes

4. Masonry & Wall Preparation

• Will window installation be impacted by loose bricks or weak mortar? Yes

• Does the contract include brick facade repairs, or will coordination with a masonry team be required? To the minimum

• Will custom anchors or attachment methods be needed for securing windows in aging brick and corroded metal frame it is the contractor responsibility to use their judgment.
