About this file

This document contains responses to questions regarding a solicitation to renovate acute mental health buildings at a Veterans Affairs medical center. The solicitation seeks bids to renovate two units, B-West and C-North, at Building 143. Key details include that Unit C-North must be completed within the first 240-day phase to allow for patient transfers from Unit B-West. The contractor will be provided keys to use two dedicated service elevators for deliveries and access. The government architect will provide construction period services such as submittal reviews and responding to requests for information or clarification. Resilient flooring types have been updated in the specifications from the shorthand codes used in earlier drawings. Other clarifications addressed specific flooring removal details and locations of finishes and fixtures.
