2. Ancillary devices Q. What are these?
A: Ancillary Devices – Single Module Reverse Transfer (RT) operates independently to support an applied load from the inverter. Single Module RT Modes supports a critical load in three different modes of operations. The standard operation modes are:
1. Normal mode – critical load is supplied by the inverter, which derives it power from rectified utility AC power. The battery charger provides charging current for the battery, if needed.
1. Battery mode – the battery provides DC power, which maintains inverter operation. The battery mode, the battery provides DC power, which maintains inverter operation. The battery supports the critical load.
1. Bypass mode – the critical load is directly supported by utility power.
3. PDU/PDR/RPP/STS
Q. Need more detail and quantities A:a. PDU are distribution cabinets consisting of power strips for power to the racked I.T. equipment, which is located in the same room as the UPS.
b. PDR are power distribution racks for multipower cords for the PDUs.
c. RPP is a Remote Power Panel which provides power to the existing panels located in the computer room for maximum output.
d. STS is a Static Transfer Switch utilizes a static electronic component (SCR) which permits a transfer in less than four milliseconds.
4. Sealed Battery System and Non-Eaton equipment (MVS) Q. What are these supporting and how many are there A: Sealed Battery System and Non-Easton Equipment
