About this file
This document contains responses to bidder questions regarding federal contract opportunity 36C24220B0065 for Project #632-15-116 to renovate roads 4 at the Northport VA Medical Center. The responses clarify that all field work must be done during normal hours unless approved otherwise, that existing stone base can be reused if undisturbed and meeting specifications, and that prefabricated structures must meet building codes. Commissioning services are required for associated work. A separate site safety health officer is mandatory in addition to the superintendent, and a certified safety professional must perform monthly inspections. Excavated soil can be used for backfill if clean and suitable. Anti-ram bollards and standard bollards are specified for locations. Recycled concrete aggregate can substitute for stone base if meeting specifications. The $2-5 million contract has a 775-day completion schedule and is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside awarded according to the Veterans Integrated Service Network.
