Below please find a most current and complete list of RFI’s received to date, no further RFI’s will be accepted. Answers to all RFI’s must be provided on or before 06/17/2019.

1) In the bid package, there is a quote no. 207495 from Terra Universal for the amount of

$400,787.30, we were informed at the prebid that contractor has to include this amount in the base bid. Also, we were told that there may be a revised price from Terra Universal. We request the agency to obtain the revised price from Terra Universal and make it part of the official solicitation so that all bidding contractors will be notified and aware of this revised price and can bid the project on the same information.

ANSWER: All bidders shall use the price in the bid package as posted.

2) Spec section 096723.30 and 096723.60 does not match what the finish legend is calling for.

The spec is describing Stonres RTZ flexible urethane system. The finish legend calls Stonshield

HRI epoxy quartz broadcast system. Please correct advice?

ANSWER: Use EP1 material only throughout cleanroom areas provided by Terra

Universal (EP3 not referenced in Finish Schedule on drawings) corresponding to Resinous

(EPOXY BASE) High Performance Decorative Mortar Flooring (RES-3), Section

096723.30. Section 096723.60 (RES-6A and RES-6B).

3) At the prebid, we were handed over page no.1 of SF1442 and page nos. 3 of 53 to 5 of 53.

These pages are from old solicitation which had 53 pages. There was another solicitation issued which has pages 1 to 86. It is mentioned on page 1 of SF 1442 THIS SOLICITATION IS TO

REPLACE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED IN ERROR SOLICITATION FOR THE SAME PROJECT.

But these three ( 3 ) Bid Sheet pages are missing from this solicitation.

ANSWER: All bidders shall use the updated Solicitation bid package (86 pages) as posted.

Attached please find S06 BID SHEET 06/18/2019 - the last three (3) pages 83-86.

4) Drawing 1-AD101 Keyed Demo note no.17 states ‘Existing flooring to remain. Clean and prep existing flooring as required to receive new tile’. --- This is conflicting, either the existing flooring remains, OR new flooring has to be installed. Please advise what is correct?

ANSWER: Phase 1 only: Disregard note #17, Remove existing floor tile and install new tile

(Note: Corridor flooring was abated approximately 10 years ago) Phases 3 to 6: Existing floor tiles to remain and install new tiles over the existing floor tiles. (Corridor floor tiles were not abated).

5) Drawing HA-01 has ACM materials quantity table which has quantities for pipe insulation in various rooms. Please advise if this pipe insulation removal quantity is inside the chase walls or only in ceilings. As if this insulation is behind the existing chase walls, then the asbestos contractor will be responsible to demolish these masonry chase walls.

ANSWER: This pipe insulation is located inside chase walls and/or ceilings. The asbestos abatement contractor will be responsible to demolish these masonry chase walls and ceilings. The specification lists the approximate quantities of walls and ceilings that must be removed to access the underlying pipe insulation.

6) Please advise if any insulation is required in the inside of exterior stainless steel ductwork which runs from the 12th floor to the new fan units on the roof. Also, this exterior stainless steel ducts should be welded?

ANSWER: Yes, there should be 1 inch of insulation between inner and outer stainless-steel duct. The exterior stainless-steel ducts should be welded.

7) If required will a suspended scaffold be allowed to install the exterior ductwork?

ANSWER: Yes.

8) Drawing HA-01 asbestos abatement note no.6 states that the contractor shall remove wall/ceiling, plaster, sheetrock, masonry and ceiling tile wet as ACM to access the underlying pipe and insulation. --- Please confirm this is required and correct.
