The solicitation is set-aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and covers procurement of refrigeration equipment for the VA Boston Healthcare System Food and Nutrition Service located in Bedford, Massachusetts. The required products are one Aladdin Temp-Rite Air Curtain Refrigerator (Model ACR105R, 14579) with a stainless steel right-hinged door and two Aladdin Temp-Rite Cold Food Counters (Model J713B, 93154), each 76 inches in length and accommodating 5 pans, under a "Brand Name or Equal" specification. The Product Service Code is 4110 and the NAICS code is 333415 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
The contractor bears full responsibility for equipment delivery and installation, including unloading, unpacking, transportation to the final location, assembly of shelves and accessories, plugging in units, completing startup procedures, and performing temperature testing. Standard 110-volt electrical outlets are available at the installation site; however, if equipment requires different electrical configurations, the contractor must arrange for installation of new electrical outlets and connections. The contracting office is located in Newington, Connecticut, with the primary point of contact being Contract Specialist Janice Jones. The solicitation applies the Buy American Act and uses FAR subpart 12.202 streamlined procedures for commercial products and services.
