About this file
This is Amendment 0002 to Solicitation 36C24126Q0554 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs VA Boston Healthcare System Contracting Officer on June 11, 2026. The amendment extends the proposal submission deadline to June 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT and provides responses to seven industry questions submitted by potential offerors.
The solicitation concerns a Sterirack (Brand Name/Equal) Shelving Upgrade project at VA Boston Healthcare System, located at 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301. The project scope includes installation of a complete Sterirack Storage System configuration comprising mobile starter bays, mobile add-on bays, wide bays, MediBin panels, MediBins, aisle signs, and various wall shelves. The estimated period of performance is one year, beginning June 30, 2026 through June 29, 2027, with work performed continuously Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including holidays and weekends as needed. The vendor is responsible for determining the specific quantities and configurations of shelving components based on a site visit held June 10, 2026, with a floor plan layout provided as an attachment to this amendment. Key clarifications include: tile replacement may vary slightly from specifications, MediBins containing peel packs will be mounted within the shelving system, existing cabinets will not be replaced, no 12-inch wide racks will be utilized, contractors may use VA elevators and the loading dock on the first floor with freight elevator access to the basement for material handling, and the VA intends for weekend and holiday work to be included in contractor proposals.
