About this file

The document is a Request for Information (RFI) Questions and Answers Part 3 for a VA contract related to emergency housing for homeless veterans. The key clarification addresses the daily rate structure, confirming that the rate includes comprehensive services for a veteran's occupancy, such as room, board, food, operational services, maintenance, and veteran-specific support. The daily rate represents the total cost of supporting a veteran in the residential facility, with no additional funding available beyond the occupancy rate.

This Q&A document is directly linked to Solicitation Number 36C24125Q0580 from the Northampton VA Medical Center, which seeks emergency contracted residential services for homeless veterans in Central Western Massachusetts. The solicitation allows for multiple awards across three potential bed capacity options: 10 emergency beds with priority in Worcester County, 10 emergency beds in Worcester County, and 15 emergency beds in Worcester County. The contract will have a base year with four potential option years, and vendors can submit quotes for single or multiple locations, with flexibility to specify the number of beds they can provide.

Text version

RFIs Questions and answers Part 3 Request to clarify what is included in the daily rate.

There is no funding available outside of the occupancy rate. The daily rate is the cost of the veteran occupying the bed. That would be inclusive of all services to support that veteran (room, board, food, services for operation, maintenance, and veteran services, etc).
