About this file

This document is a Sole Source Justification form for a Department of Veterans Affairs contract to procure Stryker ProCare Services for the Providence Medical Center. The procurement is for preventative and maintenance services for a Stryker Operating Room (OR) integration system, to be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract with a base year and two option years. The total contract value is redacted, but will be under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $7.5 million.

The justification cites Stryker as the only qualified source due to their requirement for authorized technicians and proprietary repair parts. Market research conducted across multiple platforms (Sam.gov, Vetcert, DSBS, GSA) found no alternative vendors capable of providing the specialized services. The contract will cover comprehensive maintenance, including all necessary tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment to ensure uptime of the OR integration system. The intent to sole source was posted on 4/30/2025 with a response deadline of 5/7/2025, and no responses have been received to date. The proposed pricing was found consistent with a previous acquisition at $15,440.63 per month.
