About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 36C24125Q0127 regarding boiler plant safety devices at a Department of Veterans Affairs facility.
The document provides technical specifications about three Superior Boilers fire tube units (two 300 HP and one 150 HP) operating at 90 PSI. The boilers use Webster burners (HDSX for Boilers 1 & 3, JBSX for Boiler 2) with Fireye PPC 6000 and YB110 controls and flame safeguards. Rosemount meters require calibration. While the contractor must supply gaskets, several aspects including boiler opening/closing, cleanings, inspections, and plant-wide controller/SCADA systems are handled through separate contracts with Venergy Group. The boilers are integrated with a Building Management System (BMS).
