About this file
This document is a sources sought notice and request for information from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran Benefits Administration seeking market input on solutions to make all VA correspondence 508 compliant. Interested vendors were requested to provide information on their experience and capabilities by April 22, 2024 to Mark Branum at mark.branum@va.gov.
The VA seeks an innovative managed service to receive letters from the Centralized Benefits Communications Management system or Veterans Benefits Management System, convert the documents and any embedded content to standardized 508 compliant formats such as editable PDF, audio files and ensure no more than a 5% error rate. The selected vendor must also return the original and modified documents within 5-7 days. The base period of performance is 12 months with potential optional 12-month extensions. The VA estimates processing 75 letters daily containing 10-12 pages each, but may increase volume up to 150 letters daily under optional periods. The RFI responses will be evaluated to inform potential acquisition strategies.
