The RFI is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin to identify qualified vendors for a comprehensive electronic database of medical/surgical equipment manufacturer instructions, service manuals, and safety data sheets. The current contract (36C24521C0186) is held by Datix (USA) Inc. and expires on September 28, 2025, with the government anticipating a new award prior to that date.
The procurement will consist of a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods, structured as a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The NAICS code is 518210 (Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services), though vendors are encouraged to provide additional applicable NAICS codes. The current contract was solicited as unrestricted and awarded to a large business, and the government has not yet determined if the upcoming solicitation will have a small business set-aside. The expected contract value will be driven by competition, and the ultimate acquisition strategy will be based on responses to this RFI.
