About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation in response to inquiries regarding Request for Proposal ORBuys Bid Solicitation #73000-00001934 (PCMS RFP #35154) for the I-205 Stafford Road to OR213 Corridor Road Widening project. The RFP was issued on August 12, 2022, and seeks an independent cost estimator and scheduler. A bidder submitted a clarification question regarding language in the Sample Contract's Statement of Work that referenced the consultant developing "a design that is appropriate for the context of the Project and the nature of its function, both present and future." The Oregon Department of Transportation clarified in its response that design services are not anticipated under this project solicitation, thereby narrowing the scope of work to cost estimation and scheduling functions only.
This document serves as official guidance to all potential bidders and does not modify the original RFP requirements unless issued as a formal written addendum on the OregonBuys platform. The clarification addresses a potential source of confusion regarding the nature and extent of services required, ensuring that proposers submit bids based on accurate understanding of project scope.
