INVITATION TO BID
Weber County Library Pleasant Valley Branch announces its acceptance of bids for the 2017 Landscape and Irrigation Upgrade.
The purpose of the project is to improve the health and vitality of the existing landscaping. Excessive compaction and hard-pan conditions (likely resulting from the facility construction) exist. Existing hardpan layer is at approximately 18” depth. This Project involves replacing several trees that have dies, deep-tine aeration for all the turf areas, root rejuvenation for existing trees (involving spoke-like trenches through the hardpan layer, backfilled with soil blend to improve drainage and foster healthy rood growth), and revamping the irrigation system to improve the overall coverage and functionality (see irrigation plans).
Only Landscape contractors who meet qualification and experience requirements will be considered.
Bidders may obtain electronic copies of bidding documents, plans and specifications from SciQuest on or after October 11, 2017. A complete set of bid documents must be used in preparing bids. Bidders are responsible for securing any and all addenda issued. Owner and Landscape Architect assume no responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of bid documents.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on site at 5568 South 500 East, Ogden, UT on October 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Bidders who do not have a representative in attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting will be disqualified from the bidding process.
SEALED BIDS for furnishing all materials, labor, tools and equipment necessary to complete said work must be submitted on forms prepared by the Landscape Architect and are to be submitted to Weber County Purchasing, 2380 Washington Blvd Ste 260, Ogden, UT 84401 by 2:00 P.M. on November 1, 2017, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid that best serves its convenience and/or is found to be in the best interest of the District.
