About this file
This document is a technical specification for Relay and Control Panels for the Garnet Valley Water Transmission System, involving the Southern Nevada Water Authority and the Colorado River Commission of Nevada. The project is for the Apex 2920 Pumping Station, with HDR Engineering, Inc. serving as the engineering firm. The specifications detail requirements for fabricating, testing, and delivering relay panels, including mechanical and electrical specifications, device requirements, and installation guidelines. The project involves furnishing complete relay panels with all necessary devices, wiring, and documentation, with delivery specified to the jobsite in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The bid requires a lump sum price for the relay and control panels, with specific requirements for drawings, submittals, and delivery timelines. Bidders must provide a detailed proposal including total price, delivery date commitments, manufacturer information, and panel weight. The specification outlines strict requirements for panel construction, using 11-gauge cold-rolled steel, with specific painting, labeling, and wiring standards. The project includes provisions for shop tests, field tests, and a minimum one-year equipment guarantee. The panels are designed for indoor installation in a climate-controlled environment, with specific operational requirements including temperature range, seismic loading specifications, and electrical system compatibility.
