About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 for Request for Proposal (RFP) 25-26-3242AM issued by Hanover County, Virginia for web page design, management and maintenance services. The addendum extends the proposal due date from January 6, 2025 to January 14, 2025, with unsealed proposals due by 2:00 p.m. The services requested include website redesign and implementation for the County's Economic Development department, with a location of performance at 8200 Center Path Lane in Mechanicsville, VA. The project requires WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, training for two staff members, and content migration from the existing WordPress site, though the County is open to other platforms.

The incumbent provider is Whittington Consulting, who completed the last redesign in 2015 and currently charges $175 per month for WordPress and plugin upgrades, backup and security. The County will not disclose the project budget. Remote work is allowed with some preferred in-person consultation, but no work can be performed outside the US. Proposals can be submitted via email or preferably through eVA (Virginia's e-procurement system). The contractor will need to incorporate existing services including GIS Planning/Zoom Prospector, VA Scan, and Google Translate. Pricing should be broken out according to Section 3.2.I of the RFP and can be submitted in Excel format, with vendors asked to provide costs both with and without content migration.
