About this file
This is Addendum #2 to an Invitation to Bid issued by the City of Silverton for the Sheltering Silverton Tenant Improvements project (Project #22-1062). The addendum, issued on Friday, March 17, 2023, modifies the original ITB issued on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, and supplements Addendum #1. The ITB closing date and time remains unchanged at Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM. The addendum clarifies material specifications and contractor responsibilities for the project's mechanical and utility work, addressing four substantive questions received from contractors regarding project requirements.
The addendum provides material clarification that affects project specifications and contractor scope: PVC is acceptable for drainage piping instead of cast iron, PEX piping is acceptable for water lines instead of copper, and the contractor is responsible for all remaining water service and fire sprinkler work from the meter to the point of connection, as city utility staff will no longer complete work on this project. Additionally, the bid bond requirement is clarified as 10 percent of the base bid amount only and does not need to cover additive bid items. All other terms, conditions, specifications, requirements, and deadlines from the original ITB and previous addenda remain unchanged.
